Using These Documents


This is a guide to installing and upgrading the MassTransit Web (MTWeb) component provided with MassTransit HP. To learn more about the new MassTransit 7 features, please go to the Other MassTransit 7 Resources section of this document.

MTWeb requires four components – MassTransit HP, MySQL 5, a web server (IIS), and PHP 5. Please view the latest ReadMe for a comprehensive list of the recommended system requirements located at http://support.grouplogic.com/mtlatest.

Before You Begin


To configure the MassTransit Web Interface on Windows 2003 or 2008, you will need to have:

  1. MySQL 5 installed and configured
  2. MassTransit HP 7 installed and configured
  3. Internet Information Services (IIS) 5 or higher; 7 is recommended
NOTE:

You MUST install the MassTransit web site files corresponding to your MassTransit engine version. MassTransit 7 requires version 7 web files.

System Requirements


MassTransit Web requires the following components:

  1. MassTransit HP version 7 or higher.
  2. MySQL version 5.0.78 is required for MassTransit 7. MySQL 5.1 recommended.
  3. PHP 5.3.1.
  4. Internet Information Services (IIS) 5 or higher; 7 is recommended.
NOTE:

Information is also provided for configuring MTWeb on Windows XP. This information can be used for setting up MassTransit in a test environment only. For production use, Group Logic supports Windows 2003 and 2008.

Along with the above components, MassTransit Web requires one of the following web browsers:

Windows

  • Internet Explorer 7 or higher
  • Firefox 3 or higher

Macintosh

  • Safari 3 or higher
  • Firefox 3 or higher
